For its upcoming iteration of the Air Force 1 Low LX, Nike dresses the luxe iteration of its iconic silhouette in decorative lacing placements. While auxiliary laces have long been used by sneaker designers for aesthetic purposes, Virgil Abloh‘s Off-White x Nike Dunk Low series comes to mind as a possible source of inspiration.

This particular model features New York Knicks-like “Blue” and “Orange” mismatched lacing details across its white leather uppers. The laces are seen zig-zagging across the eye-stays, accentuating the tail-end of the lateral swoosh, and extending outwards from two holes on the heel tab. Tight stitching accents resembling lace tips secure the rounded laces as they meander throughout the silhouette.

Colored tongue tabs feature a mismatched cursive Nike logo and painted Swoosh motif, and insoles are also found in bright contrasting hues. Below a standard white rubber midsole completes the special-edition look.

Take a look at the official images above, and stay tuned for release information to be announced in the coming weeks.
