Update: The time is nearly here for Nike to bring 2001’s Air Max Craze back to shelves. The retro silhouette has officially been revealed in this “Black/Bright Citrus” colorway that we previewed previously below and will be made available in women’s sizes. While we lack a firm release date still, it is expected to drop this season via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $170 USD in several colorways.

Original Story: With a vault of retro sneakers like Nike’s, it’s no wonder that the brand has a steady stream of models returning season after season. In the wake of the Air Max Sunder’s resurfacing last year, it’s time for the Air Max Craze to take center stage once again. The 2001 model was the subject of a rumor involving a potential Martine Rose collaboration last October and while we await more info regarding that possible project, December’s SNKRS Showcase saw Nike confirm the Air Max Craze’s return.

This “Black/Bright Citrus” colorway was featured during the livestream and sees the unique runner spread orange accents across a black base. Its neoprene upper is secured by a zipper system that is similar to the Air Max Sunder. Meanwhile, the minimal heel offers padding only where it is necessary.

At the time of writing, we’re still awaiting official confirmation from the Swoosh regarding when we can expect the Air Max Craze to return to shelves. Stay tuned for updates, including previews of additional colorways, as it is currently forecasted to drop this spring in women’s sizing via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $170 USD.
