With the freshly unveiled MoonSwatch 1965, OMEGA and Swatch are back with a new iteration of their viral watch collab.

The MoonSwatch 1965 pays tribute to the iconic OMEGA Speedmaster’s space flight qualification by NASA in the mid-’60s — a significant milestone in both horological and space exploration history. The new model retains the visual hallmarks of its original inspiration, including the OMEGA logo, hands and iconic wordmark, while its crisp white dial draws cues from 2024’s Moonwatch Professional —  evoking a vintage vibe with a modern build.

The key specifications of the MoonSwatch 1965 include modified chronograph counters that total 19 hours at the 10 o’clock position and 65 minutes at the 2 o’clock position, thus paying homage to the year 1965. Coated with Grade A Super-LumiNova®, the watch ensures optimal visibility in the dark.

Crafted from Swatch’s patented Bioceramic material, the new timepiece arrives in a 42mm case size with a light matte gray look, while the tachymeter bezel pops in a solid black hue. The matte gray hue extends to the NASA-style VELCRO® strap and caseback, which comes engraved with co-branding as well as the original mission statement.

Releasing on March 1, also the date NASA qualified the Speedmaster in the ‘60s, the MoonSwatch 1965 will be available to shop at select stores as a non-limited edition, retailing for $270 USD. For the list of participating stores, visit Swatch’s website.
